There are fancy steakhouses, and then there is Mastro's, the hoity toity Southern California original with outposts in Chicago, Las Vegas and New York. There is also Mastro's Ocean Club, which boasts locations in Columbus, Ohio, as well as Las Vegas and Phoenix and now Fort Lauderdale. Its presence imposing, the luxury steakhouse feels like a private club, offering large, sprawling dining rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows in an atmosphere of exclusivity.

The menu consists of nine different chops and steaks, ranging from an eight-ounce petite filet to a 48-ounce double cut Porterhouse. For non-meat eaters, there is also an ample selection of seafood dishes; choose from such best-sellers as Chilean sea bass, grilled swordfish or live Maine lobster.
