Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab - Washington
The original Joe's Stone Crab "restaurant" debuted in Miami Beach in 1913 when owner Joseph Weiss and his wife Jennie set up several tables on their home's front porch. The specialty, of course, were Florida stone crabs, a few side dishes and Key lime pie.
Joe's eventually evolved into what it is today, from the celebrity-laden original location to this highly visible Washington, D.C. venue. As with the Chicago and Vegas outposts, the D.C. restaurant is a partnership between the original Joe's Stone Crab and Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.
You'll find the same dishes on this menu: Joe's features an extensive selection of seafood, flown in fresh daily, to complement the Florida stone crab claws. You'll also find signature prime steaks, such as the 24-ounce, bone-in ribeye, plus Ahi tuna, filet mignon, the signature fried chicken and more. There are also special gluten-free and vegetarian menus.
