My family and I went to Del Frisco's on the last day of Restaurant week in DC. We had to ask for the restaurant menu and the waiter did not appear to be pleased for our asking. The starters were delicious. However, when the entrees were served the food was cold, all three meals. When asked how we enjoyed the food we let the waiter know it was good but cold. Two different managers came out and asked if we wanted them to reheat the food. I asked to have my steak reheated but my wife and daughter said they would just take their food home. Without asking one manager grabbed our plates and said he would have it packaged, which my family would have preferred to do themselves. Fifteen minutes later the waiter told us they had run out of take out containers, and she did not know what to do about it. This was hard to believe when we saw other people getting their food packaged. After some time the waiter came with the food packaged in plastic containers and said she found them behind the bar. We had our desserts and asked if we could have containers to take them out and was told the same story. After some time the waiter said the chef had gone to another restaurant and retrieved take out container, but by that time we had consumed out desserts. We were not charged for two of the meals which we appreciated. However, I must say I have never had such a strange experience at a restaurant. It left a bad impression on my family and I and I do not think either of us will go there again.

I’m not sure if the food or the service was better but I had the best experience today. Sean was our waiter and took amazing care of our party. Very knowledgeable and his personality was a huge part of our experience. If you’re ever at the DC location you have to ask for Sean!

I give it 3 stars (over rated) which is disappointing to me for a $$$/$$$$ restaurant! I liked the design, vibe and atmosphere which was classy and beautiful. The outdoor was beautiful too however, we couldn’t sit outside just because it was closer to sunset and there was no light provided and was so dark! We sat inside by the window but it was super super cold in a way that less than 1 minute after serving the $100 steak, it felt like it has cone out of a refrigerator! Even the dish that was hot were cold! I guess our sit was right under the AC! Besides that when you order a dried aged steak for $100 you expect it to be good! The meat itself was tender but the fact that it was cold and dry and no sauce it felt like nothing and I left half of my steak. Later on I realized I had to order a sauce separately and steaks don’t come with any marination or sauce! I wish when I was ordering the food my waiter who was a nice guy was asking me if I want to add any sauce as it doesn’t come with any! Anyway, it was my birthday and I was trying to celebrate with my wife! We spend $200 there and we didn’t like it much! I wish I spend that money at other restaurant!

My first time at this restaurant & the food was really good I got the filet mignon steak , spinach dip , lobster Mac and cheese omg that was my favorite and the drinks were also nice. Food was hot and the service was good. I loved the view as well and the booths are spacious it was not crowded so it felt very intimate. My second time I had high expectations but this time my fiancé and I sat at the bar we ordered our food waited an hour our food finally arrived COLD . I notified the manager he stated he would correct it and never came back. The bartender suggested we leave and come back the next day to speak to another manager that is very inconveniencing and we paid full price for our tab and didn’t eat anything we were highly irritated and hungry!
