Ok so we were excited to experience this place for our anniversary. Sadly we was highly disappointed. 1st we were shoved in a corner that wasn't comfortable especially with me being 8 months pregnant, and when I asked the hostess can we have another seat placement she just looked at me as if I spoke another language. The service was subpar. It was too many times during our meal the waiter didn't show back up for long periods and we were left waiting looking crazy. The food was ok, steak was great the bearnaise sauce was horrible, mushrooms were too tough to chew. I was hoping you at least get a complimentary dessert for our anniversary and we did not get anything except a meal that wasn't enjoyable. The ambiance was however nice. Would I be back...most likely not.

I came here for restaurant week. Love their Gazpacho and Hanger Steak. Honestly, the best Gazpacho I've had. The atmosphere and layout is incredible.

The best place we have ate in D.C. so far! The atmosphere stellar, the waitstaff was on point, and the care they have for their guests is impeccable. Highly recommend!

I love this restaurant and the staff was great. This wasn't my first time here, and I love coming here. However, this was my first time ordering the crab cake. I have never been so disappointed in my life. As a Maryland native, crabs and crab cakes are something you learn how to make at 9 years old and can tell the difference between lump and backfin. As soon as the sat the plate down on the table, I knew this was not a real crab cake. You saw no lump crab meat at all. It looked burnt at the top, and the covered it with garnish. This was the worse crab cake I've ever had in my life. It tasted like someone ethnic grandma that never had on decided to add every spice in the cabinet to try and make some leftovers the own together in the shape of a patty taste good. There was no crab meat inside and looked like they added carrots and peppers which is an abomination. They need to immediately take this off the menu. I was ready to go in the kitchen and fire the chef myself. DO NOT order the crab cake absolutely awful. The lobster corn dogs were good though.

Wife, myself and business friends went a few nights ago. The waiter "kitty" was very polite, but missed a couple marks ,like saying I will be right back...

One of my favorite spots in DC! The team at Charlie Palmer is always so welcoming. The manager, Mike, is always friendly and accommodating with reservations and private events. The team at the bar is so professional and kind, I can always count on Lamar to create amazing drinks and he always has incredible new suggestions. Danny, Lewis and Alfredo are always at the bar with a warm smile and providing exceptional customer service. The waiters/waitresses and hostesses are always on top of their game too! There are many restaurants in the DMV, but Charlie Palmer has a was of making you feel at home while also providing an exceptional dining experience with delicious foods and drinks and the best customer service. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Never fails. Service is always great and the steaks are well cut and cooked. Perhaps I'll try their fish and seafood one day.

Great fillet mignon center steak! Awesome oyster, so fresh and I particularly love the sour red sauce that comes with it. I think it is tomato based. We asked for medium for the new york stripe but it was a bit too dry. Asparagus was splendid, perfectly cooked. Atmosphere was nice too.

Wait service slow . I was seated but waiter forgot about me. Food was OK but overpriced. Credit card was overcharged by almost $100. Called during the day when they would not be busy. Got an answering machine. Left a message no call back. Repeated that twice (once each day) and called another day at 5. The person answering assured me a manager would call back.that never happened. So I had a decent overpriced meal which has now been giving me heart ache for a week. Their back office appears to be nonfunctional. They don’t seem able to return phone calls or charge credit cards the right amount.

REFUSED SERVICE, STAY AWAY. If I could give 0 stars I would. These folks do not deserve any star! While visiting DC and after an exhausting walk through the L.O.C. at 3:25 PM on Apr 27th we (my wife and two kids) stopped by this place to enjoy some succulent steaks on our way back to our parked car. The experience went something like this: As soon as we entered there is a reception desk to the right so we went to it. There were two females and one male behind this desk. The male asks me: "May I help you?" - ??? May I help you? what does that even mean? I'm at a restaurant we want to eat, right? Either way, I said (sounding a little confused by the questions I'm sure) "This is a restaurant right? We want to eat." he then asks me if I have a reservation, I said no. He typed something into the computer and then one of the females said, the restaurant is closed. My wife and I looked at each other and left. I took this picture on the way out to remind me to write about this on social media. WE WERE REFUSED SERVICE for some reason unknown to us. Could have been that we had a 8 month old and a 5 year old with us? I don't know the reason, but these folks in the front desk were insensitive, unprofessional and just down right rude. All done in a passive aggressive way so very covert. If you are a family save your time as you are probably not wanted here.
