Charlie Palmer Steak DC

Charlie Palmer Steak DC - Washington, D.C.

Celebrated chef Charlie Palmer owns a host of steakhouses, and also a slick, luxury hotel in San Francisco. They're all strategically located where the power brokers congregate.

The New York outpost, of course, is in the center of Manhattan's bustling action in Midtown. And the location for Washington, D.C. is situated in the heart of where lawmakers move and shake. Nearby are the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress and Supreme Court. It's also in walking distance to the Smithsonian Museum, National Building Museum, National Mall and Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum.

The menu stars top American artisan beef cuts like aged Angus rib-eye "Cowboy" steak as well as updated locally sourced seafood dishes like Chesapeake Bay oysters and soft shell crab fritto misto. Signature entree choices range from Maine lobster ravioli to truffle-roasted chicken.

Those short on time or looking for a budget-conscious meal may opt for Charlie Palmer's prix-fixe lunch menu. Choose from Palmer's family recipe for meatballs, chicken parmesan and pork scallopini piccata. It's $25.

There's also the chef's tasting, which occurs every Friday evening for $95 per person ($135 per person with wine pairings). It's comprised of a five-course menu showcasing produce from the restaurant's culinary garden. Also, each week, the chef offers a seasonal "cut of the week" menu, featuring a hand-selected, unique cut of meat paired with a first course and family-style sides. It's presented with "bottomless wine pairings" for $58 per person.

During warm months, Charlie Palmer's rooftop terrace can accommodate 400 guests, offering the city’s most impressive view of the Capitol.
