Morton's The Steakhouse 3251 Prospect St.

A second St. Anselm arrives from the collaborating team of restaurateurs Stephen Starr and Joe Carroll as well as "Top Chef" alum Marjorie Meek-Bradley. The fashionable meatery, which originated in Brooklyn, is situated in the Union Market neighborhood in Washington, D.C.

BLT Steak

Seafood dishes get as much attention as red meat on the menus at BLT Steak. The stylish DC eatery showcases USDA Prime and Certified Angus beef, yet you'll find sauteed branzino, Maine lobster and Dover sole as well. There's also a lobster Cobb-style salad that's a big hit with the more fashionable bar patrons.

The Prime Rib

The original Prime Rib restaurant opened in Baltimore in 1965, with outposts opening in Washington, D.C. in 1976 and Philadelphia in 1997. Its claim to fame is its throwback setting of elegant supper clubs of 1940s Manhattan, and it was designed by brothers Buzz and Nick BeLer.

Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

The original Joe's Stone Crab "restaurant" debuted in Miami Beach in 1913 when owner Joseph Weiss and his wife Jennie set up several tables on their home's front porch. The specialty, of course, were Florida stone crabs, a few side dishes and Key lime pie.

Ocean Prime

Situated in landmark office building The Colorado Building, which was built in 1903, this 13th outpost for Ocean Prime is only two blocks away from the White House. The neighborhood is East End, part of downtown Washington, D.C., and home to many of the city’s premier office buildings, luxury hotels, upscale restaurants and cultural destinations.

Ruth's Chris Steak House, 724 9th

Catering to the corporate and business crowd, this outpost of Ruth's Chris is located in the Washington Convention Center (a second D.C. location is at 1801 Connecticut Avenue, N.W.). It's good to know that it's walking distance to Gallery Place Metro stop, the National Mall and the Smithsonian Art Museum.

The Palm Restaurant

The first-ever Palm restaurant opened in New York City in 1926, but it wasn't until George H.W. Bush encouraged them to expand that the owners started opening additional locations. Ruth's Chris Steak House, 1801 Connecticut,

Catering to a hardcore political crowd, this outpost of Ruth's Chris is located in the pulse of the political action at 1801 Connecticut Avenue, N.W. (a second location is in the Washington Convention Center). The exposed brick and beam interior of the steakhouse is reminiscent of an English Tudor castle, complete with winding staircases, small, romantic nooks and an enclosed patio overlooking the street.

Mastro's Steakhouse

The famed West Coast steakhouse chain boasts a number of locations throughout the country. In addition to this well-heeled D.C. destination, outposts can be found in Chicago, New York and Las Vegas. Mastro's Steakhouse is considered a hot commodity for upscale date nights and business-related gatherings, and most locations offer a classic steakhouse experience with ample room.
