The Capital Grille Hartford steakhouse

Food was delicious. Ambience was very nice. Went there to celebrate a birthday with friends. They pay attention to their guest. Our waiter was Chris and he was very nice. The food was good as well. No complaints there. Overall, very nice place to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or a very special occasion. The only thing I didn't like was they could only split the bill 2 ways. Every one had cards which kinda put us in kind of a bind. But we're were about to work it out. I would go again but bring cash or a major credit card.

There was NOTHING that this restaurant could do any better for the experience we had here. Start to finish, the best. I would have paid twice as much for the food as it was that good. My wife and I don't get out often, when we do we try to find new fine dining establishments to experience. After 15 years, we have a clear cut #1- The Capital Grille.

I wish I could leave 50 stars. This place is top notch for both the food and the service. If at all possible, ask for Carolyn as your server. She was outstanding, made tailored recommendations and was such a delight. I even got a little sample plate of dessert! Thank you Capitol Grille for exceeding expectations and providing an exceptional consumer experience. I will be bringing friends and family here for all special occasions.

I traveled from NC and met a friend for lunch. We ate outside and the setting was fantastic! We both had fresh salads; she had the salmon and I had the mini tenderloin sandwiches with truffle fries. Our server was so attentive and the food was fabulous! I truly enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere, and of course, seeing my friend. Thank for such a wonderful lunch and for wrapping up the leftovers with a thank you note from the Chef!

Celebrated my birthday here. The hospitality was the best I have ever had. Although the food was good, I would have to say steak wise they are mediocre compared to other upscale steak places. Drinks were delicious and they did a very good job of making me feel super special. I would return.

My experience at The Capital Grille was good for a ‘regular restaurant’ but nothing of my experience made it memorable. The decoration inside was nothing extravagant or ‘fine-dining’ for the mandatory dress code they put into place. Our server Paul K was fast-paced, knowledgeable, and kind which made the experience pleasant. However, of our 7 guests.. 5 ordered steaks and 4 of those 5 steaks came out incorrectly cooked. As a server, I did not complain or raise attention to this because it was close to closing time and it was also highly embarrassing for ME to have to let our server know that four of five steaks at a ‘steakhouse’ came incorrectly cooked. My sister ordered the NY strip medium well and it came out well done. I ordered the same steak medium, and received one medium well. My father ordered the bone-in rib eye medium well and received his medium RARE. My sisters boyfriend ordered the same bone-in rib eye medium, and also received his medium rare. It’s completely embarrassing and absurd for steaks that were each over $60… I get my steaks cooked better at The Cheesecake Factory for less than half the price. I enjoyed that the food was not auctioned off and everyone set the steaks down according to position points and seats, that was a nice touch. I will also add that the drinks are reasonably priced for a fine dining restaurant and they were not only DELICIOUS… but very strong, worth every penny. Paul and the drinks were the better part of the experience. For the price you are paying for the food and had most meals come out wrong, I probably won’t return.

Reuben took great care of us he's the man! I ordered the special (Filet Mignon) and thought it was a touch over medium rare how ordered it. I didn't want to make anything of it but next thing I know they had another order in front of me no charge. I would definitely come back here I had a great time!

The 1st time we dined at Capital Grill about a year ago was for Mother's Day. Our waiter Luis was AWESOME. Top notch service, everything was spectacular, food came out fast. We got a complimentary shot of house vodka, champagne & dessert. I even received an extra Rose. It was such a beautiful evening my husband & I went a 2nd time for his Birthday. Our waiter shared knowledge about different wines & what complimented our meals. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Everything was on point. No doubt that staff give 100%

Honestly one of the best restaurants I have been to locally. The atmosphere was great. The waiter Paul K, could not have been any better, very attentive even though it seemed like a super busy night. He even surprised us with desserts as a congratulations which was very thoughtful of him. Also the FOOD? Just top tier steak mash potatoes honestly to DIE FOR ! Will definitely be back! Thank you for such a great experience 🍾💖🎊
