Yakiniku Juban Restaurant - San Francisco
Prior to opening in 1992, Yakiniku's owners sent the executive chef to Japan to study yakiniku-style cooking at the most popular restaurants in Tokyo. He returned to design many recipes that are part of Juban’s current success. With locations in Burlingame, Menlo Park and San Francisco's Japan Center, the restaurant and concept aim to achieve a modern contemporary approach.
The meat, seafood and vegetables are cooked over smokeless, centralized down draft grills located at diners' tables. That makes the dining experience entertaining and interactive for guests as they grill flavor-soaked meats like filet mignon in miso sauce, thinly sliced beef tongue and free-range boneless chicken thighs drenched in a secret, signature sauce.
Other attractions include noodle and rice dishes, plus high-quality Wagyu beef steaks from Japan. Guests may also partake in chef-driven yakiniku menus set for two; they range in price from $59 to $77. The restaurant's decor boasts lavish cherry wood walls, beautiful artwork, halogen lighting precisely placed to enhance your cooking experience and the smokeless centralized down draft grills.
