West Steak and Seafood - Carlsbad
Each morning for the staff at West Steak and Seafood begins at the nearby West Farm, which boasts three acres of fruits, vegetables and herbs. Produce ranges from kale and cucumbers to radishes and rosemary. It offers them the rich opportunity to showcase a true farm-to-table concept with classic steakhouse dishes at the forefront.
Highlighted starters include steamed mussels accompanied by Chef David's house-made green curry, baked blue crab cakes dressed up in roasted red pepper coulis and prime beef carpaccio. The steaks and chops list, of course, is pretty extensive. Diners may choose from the likes of prime tenderloin (choose from a six-ounce, eight-ounce or 12-ounce filet mignon), 16-ounce bone-in tenderloin and a Colorado rack of lamb.
The contemporary-styled eatery offers a number of modern sides to accompany the steak, ranging from truffle fries dipped in pure white Italian truffle oil to creamy polenta.
