The Palm Restaurant - Los Angeles
Searing Italian flavors merge with American classics for a unique dining experience. The Los Angeles outpost is only one block east of the Staples Center and housed in the historic Toy Center. It's an area of downtown LA that's steadily growing as more revelers flock to the area for dining and drinking opportunities.
As for the New York-based Palm Restaurant, it was started in 1926 by Italian natives Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi. They wanted to pay homage to their hometown of Parma, Italy, so they served the fare from their homeland only until diners started requesting steaks.
They eventually, of course, put steaks on the menu and the restaurant soon became known as one of New York's best steakhouses. The menu also showcases classic Italian dishes, steaks and chops and seafood, with specialties such as veal parmigiana and linguine and clams sauce.
