Pacific Standard Prime - Redondo Beach
Former pro-golfer Kevin Leach is behind this breezy Redondo Beach steakhouse boasting sustainability and seasonality. Once his golf career ended, Leach managed area restaurants as well as learned the wine importing business.

Starter dishes are a nice preview of what to expect on the main menu. They're also great for sharing. The hot crab dip arrives with warm baguette slices. Calamari comes with sweet chili mayo and San Marzano marinara. And a nice array of pork ribs are drizzled with a hoisin-sesame glaze. Then again, you may not feel like sharing.
You'll find significant attention paid to the steak offerings. Of note is the prairie-raised Tomahawk, which weighs in at 40 ounces. There is also prosciutto-wrapped filet mignon. Non-steak eaters should appreciate choices like the cauliflower "steak," roasted half jidori chicken and an offering of wild salmon.
