Great menu and reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food. Glad that we selected to split a plate which was well worth the extra cost. Steaks are grilled outside above a wood fire. Can be seen from a number of tables in the Red Room. Service personnel very friendly and attentive. Allow extra time for the preparation of your meal. The presentation and flavors were worth the wait. Very unique atmosphere.

We had a birthday party at Daisy Mae's and were a bit apprehensive since we left the reservation up to a family member but wow! The food was great. We had a great time mainly because the people working there actually seem to like their jobs. The service and accommodations were superb. No special "Happy Birthday" craziness either which would have upset our birthday boy lol. Don't go to a steak house expecting chopped chicken salad and tuna noodles because at Daisy Mae's their menu is focused on BEEF and the drink menu is longer than the food options which was fun. A little pricey but the large Porter House Steak with the beans, salad, potato and bread was enough for four of us and they let you have extra plates for $5 which includes a salad and extra baked potato. We shall return.

Reviews Daisy Mae’s is a great place to eat steak if you want to eat in a run down, decrepit, 70’s bar that is reminiscent to something you would see in SAW or Texas chainsaw massacre. For a building that easily has 30+ tables they have 2 waiters that will make sure one side of the room has all their food before the other side(who arrived first) hasn’t even been served water. Also this place is a great place to meditate as you will have ample time. During the 30 minutes it takes for the staff to get your water and the other 30 to get the check, you will be able to think about your poor decisions you have made in life, such as choosing to eat at this establishment. The chips are phenomenal if you are a fan of a Tostitos family pack and the salsa tastes so homemade that you would think it is straight out of a Pace’s chunky salsa jar(it is). Daisy Mae’s must love the desert sand because they made their ribs just as dry. The only thing that made them salvageable was their repackaged Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce. The potato and bread were normal staples that even an 11 year old can pull off. Because of this they get no accolades for these items. The ranch beans tasted like they live in the same pot for a month at a time with water added every night. The filet was cooked well and had decent flavor once salt and pepper was added. All of that was thrown out the window when they hide the pricing of the minuscule steak by stating market price. You know your restaurant is abysmal when the salad( something I could have made at home) was the best part of the meal. Overall, if you want delicious steaks, ribs, sides, and service skip this dump and go to Silver Saddle Steakhouse.

Mixed bag of a dining experience. The filet, salad and baked potato were good. Ribs were dry. We had five people order ribs and only one not dry portion. The filet was tender and flavorful. Skip the jarred salsa and chips. In Tucson, real chips and salsa should be served. The water boy did keep our glass filled. The waiter was friendly though absent.

We went before the dinner rush because we had a concert to get to. Not busy and we were greeted and seated immediately. Staff was friendly and polite. Waitress approached took our drink order. We ordered dinner when drinks delivered. Salad came out quickly(tasty). When the entrees were delivered, asked if we needed anything else, we were good. After that it seemed like the waitress disappeared never came back to check on us. Had to flag down a busperson to order more beer, to get to go containers and order dessert. The restaurant was not busy! Hubby ordered ribeye, i ordered the filet. Ribeye was delicious, the filet was ok. The beans were tasty and the baked potatoes were perfect. I didn't like the salsa. Spicy but lacked flavor. The beers were nice and cold. The vanilla ice cream was yummy. We took apple pie (was lacking in flavor and weak crust)and turtle cheesecake (really good) home. It was a nice place and a good meal. Everything thing wasn't perfect but we will return. If I could give you a 4.5 I would.

My husband and I ate here last night for the first time. We had dinner with another couple who have enjoyed other meals here and especially like the ribs. We all ordered rib dinners. As far as the food goes, the ribs were the positive part of the meal - the meat was tender and fell off the bone. Since they are prepared on a Mesquite grill I was surprised they did not have a smoky flavor. Only one type of BBQ sauce was provided and I found it to be fairly bland. The meal came with a salad, baked potatoes, beans and bread. The salad was terrible - a very small amount of old, brown, wilted lettuce - one of the worst salads I have had in awhile. I ate a few bites and then gave up. The sour cream, butter substance and green onions for the potatoes were “slopped” together in a small salad bowl for the four of us to pass around and share. The bowl was messy and this was awkward. The beans seemed fairly good but they came barely warm and the bowl we were supposed to all share was very small. Our wait staff did say that we could have more refills of the sides if we wanted but it would be nice to start with enough for everyone. Our friend ordered hot tea and it came in a regular glass rather than a cup with a handle. The waiter who brought it didn’t seem to think this was unusual. She was unable to hold a very hot glass and we had to get someone to bring a cup for her and transfer the liquid. For the most part though the wait staff was pleasant. The restaurant building itself is worn and tired looking. The tables are old, the chairs are frayed and my chair rocked back and forth every time I moved forward to eat. Our dining companion also complained about his chair. The bathroom was an unpleasant experience. I could barely get into the stall and close the door and I am not a big woman, fairly trim. The lighting was also quite dim, so hard to see what I was doing. When I mentioned to the hostess that the bathroom stall was a tight squeeze, she remarked unconcerned that yes, it was too narrow for her too and that the building was old. This was a disappointing first dining experience here. Prices are entirely too high and the food average at best to try this place again. The restaurant appeared to have little interest in providing a worthwhile and pleasant dinner out. We won’t be back.
