Maple & Ash Scottsdale - Scottsdale
Danny Grant returns home to Scottsdale, sort of. The Chicago-based chef is over the culinary program at the second Maple & Ash steakhouse, which is at the Scottsdale Waterfront, a shopping and dining area across from Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. The 10,000-square-foot restaurant features a 14-foot, wood-burning hearth, dining room and lounge, an outdoor dining area, and private and semi-private dining rooms.
Read MoreThe menu here is identical to the original. It sets itself apart from other modern steakhouses by wood-firing all the meat, seafood and vegetables.
Highlights include the fire-roasted seafood tower finished with garlic butter and chili oil; Australian rack of lamb and a 28-day dry-aged bone-in New York strip. For those wanting to skip steak in favor of seafood, there is a whole roasted Dover sole and fire-seared branzino on the menu.
Celebrating a special occasion and want to do something over the top? Order the restaurant's infamous items is the "I DON’T GIVE A F*@K" tasting menu.
Dessert at Maple & Ash is equally outrageous. Sundae Service consists of a tableside ice-cream cart with multiple toppings (hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, whipped cream, toffee crunch, pretzel pecan streusel, seasonal fruit).
