Michael Jordan's The Steak House - Montville
The 23-layer chocolate cake remains one of the most popular attractions at Michael Jordan's The Steak House. A partnership between the greatest basketball player on the planet and Cornerstone Restaurant Group, the first location opened in Grand Central Station in New York. Subsequent restaurants opened in Connecticut and Chicago.
The Connecticut outpost is located on the premises of Mohegan Sun Casino in Montville, and it offers the entire menu of USDA prime steaks, seafood and a number of signature dishes. Highlights on the menu include starters like the blue cheese fondue garlic bread, Wagyu meatballs, and king crab legs pan-roasted in Peruvian peppers and lemon cilantro butter.
Steak lovers are guaranteed to appreciate offerings that are over the top. MJ's 16-ounce prime Delmonico is dry-aged for 45 days and served with a heaping of balsamic vinegar jus. There's also a 32-ounce Porterhouse for two that's dry-aged for 35 days. Popular add-ons include truffle parmesan truffle crust, roasted garlic shrimp and pan-roasted lobster tail.
