Stark's Steak & Seafood - Santa Rosa

Stark Reality Restaurant Group is the parent company behind Bravas Bar De Tapas, Monti's, Willi's Wine Bar and Willi's Seafood & Raw Bar. Its flagship restaurant, of course, is the steakhouse, which serves classic American fare with a modern approach.

You'll find all the expected accents of a classic steakhouse in the main dining room. Complete with hardwood floors, cushy leather chairs and booths, the interior manages to be understated yet upscale simultaneously. An equally designed bar area is adjacent.

As far as the menu, Stark's contains plenty of prime choices for steak for lunch and dinner. All beef--including Certified Angus Beef and natural, in-house, dry-aged beef and American Kobe--is hand selected by owner/executive chef Mark Stark and served à la carte. Guests may also choose from an extensive list of local and international wines, many in half bottles. The full bar features signature and well cocktails and more than 60 whiskeys.

First off, the service. We came in about 5:30 for dinner. Francisco was our waiter and he was awesome!! Perfectly balanced between checking our needs and not being overbearing. The rest of the staff was fantastic as well. Bravo on a great staff!! The potato skin fondue was not what you think. It was actually chunks of potatoes. Tasty but not what I expected for " potato skins". I had the salmon my wife had the Tamarind shrimp. Both excellent. My Manhattan at the beginning was overly sweet. Not sure if a 2:1 was used. Nice Sonoma County wine selection. Pricey.

Customer service amazing. Everyone that helped at the table was polite and asked if we needed anything. Leo the server was amazing. Very knowledgeable and informative. I like when we asked questions he would tell us what was popular. Then he would tell us what he preferred and why. The food was AMAZING good. Dessert excellent. Dessert coffee, port and chocolate cake all AMAZING!

My husband and I went to Starks for our anniversary dinner and the food and service was amazing! We loved the atmosphere, we were given complimentary champagne for our anniversary, the complimentary bread with melted butter and garlic was mouthwatering and the food was delicious. We highly recommended this restaurant for a nice dinner. Thank you to Starks staff for being so kind and giving such good service!! ❤️ 🥘

Made a reservation for a Sat night. Not too busy when we arrived but full by the time we left. In other words, make a reservation. Oysters on half shell were great. They also gave us a sparkling wine on the house to start our celebration. Had a porterhouse with mashed potato. Steak came with a wine sauce and different kinds of salt. It was delicious! Wine list was not as impressive as one might think for a restaurant in the middle of multiple wine appellations.

More expensive than it needs to be. Enough salt and butter used makes everything taste wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening although service was very slow but we don't know if part of that related to staffing shortages

This place is always packed because their happy hour is the best in Sonoma County. The mini burgers are so cute and delicious. My favorite drink- Rufus and Lucy. Customer service is awesome.

My wife and I chose to eat here for my birthday dinner. There was a slight mistake with my order and the brunette manager with curly hair helped me right away. This made my birthday and thank you kindly. I should have gotten her name but did not and I feel slightly embarrassed for not doing so. Thank you. This woman is aces and understands that food service encompasses hospitality. I don’t even know if she was a hostess but jumped right in!! Made my day!! The kitchen staff makes the best burger or steak you have ever had! Santa Rosa staple for sure!! Thanks States staff for another great birthday dinner!! (Sorry for quick review) It’s my birthday!! Woohoo!!

Probably I had high expectations from reading high praise reviews. We arrived at 5:30pm on Thursday to find the place completely booked. The wait time was 45 min, the bar was full. We left our number and went for a walk. There was some confusion with all of this but we did get the table eventually. I had Ahi Tuna Steak. I think that fish was pretty good but it was so drenched in some overly sweet sauce/butter that it completely ruined the 28 dollar dish. My partner had steak and was happy with it. Will not return as the experience was completely not worth the bill.

The steak was delicious and the bread they give you while you wait is so good. I got the scallops, they were well cooked but a little salty. The ambiance is warm m, cozy and romantic. The service was great.

Engh, it was okay. Perhaps because I read so many good reviews regarding the quality and taste of food I may have went with high expectations, but it just was not a hit for me. I expected the prices to be what they were, but again, because of the other reviews and 5 star rating I figured it would be worth it. I had the surf and turf steak and shrimp with a wedge salad and my husband had a steak and the Mac and cheese. I had one cocktail (I didn't even finish it because even that wasn't very tasty) and we shared a volcano cake (now that was delicious 😋) and our total bill came out about $150. But i was just disappointed with the taste, unfortunately we won't be returning, maybe some time in the future to give them another shot (maybe they were having a bad night) so if I do go back I'll post another review if it's improved

This is my favorite steakhouse in Sonoma County. 💯 The food here was amazing! I order the 16oz Ribeye Steak every time, and it always hits the spot. The mashed potatoes, and all the appetizers are great, but have small portions. Nice dessert menu, but the bread pudding is definitely microwaved. It’s very noisy inside, but I’m 100 percent coming back for more!

Very good food and service as usual.( not that I go often but the few times I have gone.) I always forget to say “go easy on the salt” so if you are salt sensitive don’t forget to tell them.

The delicious food absolutely competes with our exquisite and professional service. I ordered an Ahi steak that was expected to be a simple 4oz to 6oz. Nope. Definitely an 8oz steak. Seared perfectly. Buddy got the hot salad. Oh my was that undoubtedly the best salad I have ever tasted. Beverages on point! And wow. When the main dishes were brought to the table...the execution was so impressive. Multiple individuals placed our plates at once. I felt like royalty for a moment. Highly recommended.

My ma and I went to Stark’s the other night - definitely need a reservation, and we had one at 6:45 and they had run out of some of the cuts already. We had a bone marrow starter with a red onion marmalade I think? Then we had the porterhouse steak for 2 and it was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection and we got the mashed potatoes and mushrooms with it. Everything was fantastic. Left full and happy. Service was great. Good ambiance for a date night.
